An excellent game of cricket at Boghall saw Westquarter win by 5 wickets. Chasing 193 in 40 overs Westquarter won with 5 overs to spare thanks to knocks of 73 by Abdul Baqi, 68 by Hamad Mumtaz and 37 not out from Adam Jeremiah
Man of the match went to Syed Hussnain for his 105 which held the Kismet innings together after losing two early wickets
Congratulation to Westquarter for a well deserved win.

The Competitions sub committee have decided that this game be declared void. Clackmannan included in their team three players who had normally played in higher teams and had failed to notify the divisional representative in advance as required by clause 15.3 of the ESCA rules.
Clackmannan have the right to appeal against this decision

ESCA have been contacted regarding playing a game against a Borders select.
The game will take place this Sunday (29th August) at Galashiels, with a 1pm start and 40 overs per side.
The final XI for the match is being pulled together and will be announced shortly.
Anyone wishing to come along is more than welcome, also if anyone would like to volunteer to score for the ESCA team please let us know. |
