End of 2017 Season – Various Matters and Looking Forward
ESCA Clubs Survey / Clubs Forum – many thanks to everyone for fantastic response to the ESCA Clubs Survey – we have had significantly more responses than anticipated and are now analysing all the information. We are looking to hold an informal Clubs Forum in second half of September in order to present findings and encourage an open discussion on the evening with the aim of identifying / agreeing any proposals / options we can put to Clubs. We will confirm Forum details – date, time, location in next few days.
Falkland CC – some of you will be aware that following relegation from the Eastern Premiership, Falkland CC have decided to apply for membership of the SPCU for both their 1st and 2nd XIs. We are obviously very disappointed to lose such a long-standing, prominent ESCA club, but fully understand the Club’s rationale for making the move.
Promotion / Relegation – as well as the Falkland move above, clearly we await the outcome of Saturday’s Eastern Premiership Play-Off final before we can confirm various Promotion / Relegation matters. Best wishes to RH Corstorphine in their match with Stoneywood Dyce at Falkland at 12.00pm this Saturday.
Clubs / Teams 2018 – we would also be very grateful if Clubs could, where possible, give us an early indication if any additions / withdrawals of teams planned for ESCA Saturday Leagues in 2018.
