Promotion and Relegation
As the end of the season approaches many teams are looking at promotion and relegation. The Committee have been asked how spaces within a division will be filled, for example Division 4 which only has 9 teams.
Rule 3 explains what happens with promotion and relegation, including if there is any movement between the ESCA Championship and the Eastern Premiership. However, beyond this, it is the responsibility of the General Committee to decide which teams are in which division, including placing any new teams within the ESCA league structure.
There will be a presumption that any spaces within divisions will be filled by increasing the number of promotions rather than reducing the number of relegations specified in Rule 3.
